Giving at Foothill Vineyard

We give because God gave first.

Everything we have showed up in our hands as a gift first. Giving is how we answer: thank you said with something that actually costs us.

Give Now Why We Give

Why we give

Grace goes first. Generosity answers.

Christian generosity starts with God, who has never once related to us based on what we could pay. He moved first. Everything after that is response, and response is a joy.

It starts with grace.

God gave first, and He gave everything. Not a down payment, but Himself. So we never initiate. We answer. That's gratitude with a dollar amount attached.

“Though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.”2 Corinthians 8:9

It reorders our hearts.

Jesus talked about money constantly, because it's never only money. It's a rival claim on our trust. Let some go, and you rehearse that God, not your balance, holds you. Formation, not fundraising.

“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”Matthew 6:21

It builds something real.

The earliest Christians pooled what they had so nobody among them went without. That's not a metaphor. It's a Tuesday. Your giving becomes groceries for a family here, a student at camp, the lights on at 100 E. Foothill.

“They gave to anyone who had need.”Acts 2:45

Start somewhere.

Generosity is a muscle, and nobody starts strong. Pick an amount that's real to you, even a small one, and let it become a practice. Most generous givers started with a gift that felt like a stretch.

Your part

A church you help carry is a church that's yours.

Invest in the future of your local church!

Christ builds his church. That part was never ours. But the way he provides for a local church is ordinary and specific: the people who call it home.

There's no outside funding here. No denominational subsidy, no endowment quietly covering the difference.

What happens at 100 E. Foothill happens because the people here decided it should. Every Sunday, every student at camp, every family carried through a hard month is somebody's giving.

That pattern is as old as the church. Nehemiah's people rebuilt a wall with each family taking the stretch in front of their own house. The work gets done when the people who benefit decide to carry it.

So your part isn't symbolic, and it isn't a tip. It's how the doors stay open, and it's what makes this place yours rather than somewhere you attend.

“The one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.”Galatians 6:6

“Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”
1 Chronicles 29:14

Give

Give to Foothill Vineyard.

Gifts to the General Fund go where they're needed most: staff, kids and students, the building, care for neighbors, and the churches we're planting.

Prefer to support something specific? You can choose from any of our funds instead: youth, the food pantry, church planting, benevolence and more.

You'll choose weekly, every other week, twice monthly, or monthly on the next screen, and you can change or stop it yourself at any time.

Our building. Keeping 100 E. Foothill open, maintained, and available to us and to our neighbors.
Care for people in need. The food pantry, disaster relief, and benevolence for families in our church, walked through case by case by our pastors.
Churches beyond us. Church planting here in Southern California and our mission partnership in Iceland.

Questions

The practical stuff.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. Foothill Vineyard Church is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, and your gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

How do I get a giving statement?

Download one yourself any time from your Church Center account. We also send a year-end statement for tax season.

Do I have to create an account?

No password or app required. Just your email and payment details. An account is optional, and only useful for managing recurring gifts or pulling your own statements.

Are there processing fees?

Yes, and we'd rather just tell you. Cards are charged 2.15% + $0.30. Bank transfer (ACH) is a flat $0.30 at any amount, so on larger gifts your bank account sends noticeably more to the ministry.

Can I change or cancel a recurring gift?

Any time, by yourself, in about thirty seconds. Log in at Church Center and edit or stop it. No phone call, no awkward conversation.

Is my information secure?

Giving runs on Planning Center, which processes payments through Stripe. Your card and bank numbers never touch our website and aren't stored by the church.

What if money is tight right now?

Then give what you can, or nothing at all, and be at home here either way. Giving is a response to God, not a fee for belonging. And if things are genuinely hard, we'd rather help than be given to. Reach out.

How do you decide who receives help?

Benevolence isn't handed out on request. Requests go to our pastoral team, who look at the whole situation and aim for something that actually helps rather than a one-time patch. Care is focused on people connected to this church family, plus our neighbors through the food pantry. If you're in a hard spot, start by talking to a pastor.

Who can I talk to about giving?

Email office@foothillvineyard.org or call (909) 394-3023. Whether it's statements, recurring gifts, stock, or something that looks wrong on your record, we'll sort it out.

Every gift here turns into something real: a neighbor fed, a student sent, a church started, a room full of people who found their way home. Thanks for being part of it 🙏
